We live on the brink of the next great age of human exploration. In the next few years, NASA, international space agencies, and commercial entities will travel back to the moon and begin developing and testing the technologies to travel to Mars and beyond.

Through a unique partnership between Smead Aerospace at CU Boulder and the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine, we are training future innovators, clinicians, and researchers in space medicine.

As a student in this 5-year, integrated dual degree program, you will earn a:

  • Medical Doctorate (MD)
  • Master of Aerospace Engineering Sciences with an emphasis in Bioastronautics

As a student, you will learn from experts in medicine, engineering, spaceflight, and remote environment expedition support. This academic program will provide you the clinical, educational, and research knowledge to fulfill the future needs of human health and performance in extreme environments on and off Earth.
