Bio

I am a proud Colorado native! Higher education is everything to me – it is my calling and my purpose. In July 2023, I married my wonderful husband, Bobby, who also works for CU at the Anschutz campus! I love visiting all the best restaurants in town and exploring new places, I’m a horror movie buff, I begrudgingly love reality tv, and I’m obsessed with all things true-crime related (tv shows, movies, podcasts – the works!).

Favorite Spot Around CU Campus

My favorite place on campus is a tie between Varsity Lake and the Los Seis de Boulder memorial. Varsity Lake is absolutely gorgeous, so much so that many people have gotten married here! It's picturesque, peaceful, and you can usually spot some turtles if you look closely! The Los Seis de Boulder memorial is outside of the Albert and Vera Ramírez Temporary Building 1. There is a sculpture that honors a group of Chicano/a student activists who gave their lives to fight injustice and discrimination on campus. I am highly touched by this, as a proud Chicana!

Best Part About Your Job

In my role, I oversee our customer service team which includes our 3 specialists and a group of wonderful student employees. This team staffs our front desk, call center, and main Admissions inbox, which means we get to work with people from all over the world! That is an incredibly rewarding part of my job, as I get to interact with different folks every day and each time, it is a new experience. I love helping people and want to see everyone succeed. I am able to do just that in this role and I'm so thankful!
