Minor in Humanities

Our students become skilled observers of what it means to be human, through an interdisciplinary and comparative approach to their study of the arts and culture within varying historical contexts, and they enjoy a range of satisfying careers.

The study of humanities is, at its core, the story of what it means to be human. Students interested in the minor program gain an interdisciplinary and comparative approach to the study of the arts and culture—literature, politics, fine arts, anthropology and film—within their historical contexts. The depth of critical analysis and knowledge covered by humanities courses offers a benefit to students and can complement their major area of study.
