CERES Greenhouse Solutions is looking for an intern with construction drafting experience. Ceres is an industry leader in energy efficient, sustainable greenhouses with a young team from many different nations and educational backgrounds. Our markets include back-yard gardeners, small-scale farms, schools, restaurant owners, aquaponic/hydroponic growers and licensed-cannabis cultivators. Our mission is to create abundant and sustainable indoor growing environments to enable anyone to grow local food and crops year-round.
The focus of this internship is to give hands on experience using AutoCAD, SketchUp and Revit to help design of a variety of greenhouse styles and geothermal heating and cooling systems. An ideal applicant is someone who is excited about sustainability with construction drafting experience. This internship position offers flexible working hours, negotiable pay for a mission-driven company working to improve local food systems world wide. Our ideal candidate:
- Has Revit drafting experience (1 year
- minimum requirement)
- Has AutoCAD and SketchUp experience
- Has construction industry knowledge
- Experience with redlining construction
- documents
- Is passionate about sustainability
- and dogs (we have a few in our office)
- Takes initiative and is always on the
- hunt for new opportunities
- Excels when working independently,
- without direction, and can solve problems independently, without any oversight or direction
- Wants to work in a very flexible and
- casual family work environment
- Is a team player
- Is able to work full-time, but part-time is possible. If we agree on a part-time arrangement, it must be for
- at least 20hrs/week with at least two 8hr days in the office.
