Frequently Asked Questions
- Current students: You can find your enrollment window listed in your Buff Portal around the middle of each semester. Please refer to the academic calendar dates on the Registrar's website.
- Incoming students: Please refer to the academic calendar dates found on the Registrar's website.
Waitlists will be cleared by the add/drop deadline for the semester. Students will either be enrolled or notified that the class is full by that date.
- Students outside of CEAS who wish to enroll in ASEN graduate course(s) must obtain instructor permission. Students should forward instructor permission to aes-enrollment-help@colorado.edu along with their student ID and the course and section number they are requesting to register. Non-ASEN students will not be given priority in registering for ASEN courses.
- Aerospace Engineering undergraduate BAM students: you can self-enroll.
- Aerospace Engineering undergraduate students not in the BAM program and Non-Aerospace Engineering undergraduates: obtain permission from the course instructor and forward to aes-enrollment-help@colorado.edu with your student ID number, course number, and section number you want. Enrollment permission will be given on the first day of classes, and you can register at that time, if space permits.
Reach out directly to the instructor, department, or program offering the course. The ASEN graduate advisors can only enroll you in ASEN courses.
ASEN graduate students who wish to enroll in ASEN 4000 level courses will need to receive instructor permission and forward this email to aes-enrollment-help@colorado.edu with student ID number, course number, and section number. Enrollment permission will be given on the first day of classes, and you can register at that time, if space permits.
- Note: review the Graduate Student Handbook to learn about limitations and restrictions for 4000-level courses before enrolling. 4000-level coursework cannot be applied towards the PhD under any circumstances.
