On June 29, 2015, the Boulder campus transitioned from a FileMaker database server to the infoED eRA system. Not all records from the FileMaker database were converted to infoED, so the Office of Contracts and Grants (OCG) has been maintaining the legacy data since the conversion.

Monitoring the FileMaker server over the past several months indicates that it gets very little use. OCG does realize that the legacy data still has value for departmental program reviews and historical reference. However, maintaining the server and the FileMaker licenses indefinitely represents a significant financial burden. A solution has been developed where a ‘run-time’ version of the data can be downloaded and used. The run-time version has all of the basic functionality of FileMaker (i.e. searching and exporting data) without the associated cost.

On January 31, 2018, the FileMaker server will be decommissioned. The Legacy FileMaker eRA run-time version is free and available for you to download and use right now. More information is available on the OCG website or by contacting Roger McCormick at roger.mccormick@colorado.edu or 303-492-5214.
