Executive Summary
The Colorado Blueprint to End Hunger (The Blueprint) is a collective of organizations working together to
end hunger in Colorado. The Blueprint network is supported by a program office, and students would
work directly with the program office to complete this project. The Blueprint believes equity is achieved
when everyone has a fair and just opportunity to live the healthiest life possible no matter who we are,
where we live, or how much money we make. This project will focus specifically on helping the Blueprint
conduct a literature review regarding the root causes of inequity within the food system (i.e. what
policies, structures and systems have perpetuated white supremacy and inequity within the food
system), as well as collect case studies of organizations within food system who have advanced equity
within their organizations.
