The Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) and the Masters of the Environment Program (MENV) are offering a series of seminars and workshops focused on developing equity-focused dialogic skills for graduate students, post-doctoral researchers and early career scientists. 

What are the goals of this series?

  • Expand and develop communication skills to navigate power dynamics on research teams, engage in equity-focused dialogues with community partners, and represent personal values and skill sets in interviews.

  • Build community and foster collaboration across different departments on campus to support graduate students, post-docs and early career scientists.

  • Create a repository of shared resources for this community, with ongoing access and development.

Who is this series for?

This series is open to all graduate students, postdocs, and early career scientists. 

Is there a certificate associated with this series?

Yes, to obtain a certificate you will need to 1. Participate in two workshops and 2. Submit a personal values statement at the end of the series.
