Massimo RuzzeneAssociate Dean for Graduate Education and mechanical engineering Professor Massimo Ruzzene was elected a Fellow of the Society of Engineering Science (SES).

The society elects between one and three fellows per year and has a membership of roughly 1,000 scientists. An SES Fellow is someone distinguished in a field in which the society has interest who has been a member of the society for at least five years and whose contributions to SES and the technical community have justified this honor.

About the Society of Engineering Science

SES promotes the development and strengthening of the interfaces between various disciplines in engineering, sciences, mathematics, and related fields. This vision remains at the core of SES today and is key to many advances that the engineering sciences can provide to society at large. The SES also organizes an annual SES conference, a meeting for those working in mechanics. Last year, over fifteen CU Boulder faculty attended.
