Masoud has gone through a long journey before joining the PhD program in Fall 2015. He completed his BSc at Sharif University in Iran and worked for a couple of years as process engineer. He then moved to the U.S. to pursue graduate studies at New Mexico State University. His research on desalination inspired him to dig deeper into separation and membrane science at the MAST center at the University of Colorado Boulder. Masoud believes that nothing beats the friendly environment of CU.
