Welcome to the College of Engineering and Applied Science at CU Boulder. We’re so excited to welcome you as the first-ever residents of Engineering Connections.

‘CU’ for our community kickoff & class photo

Thursday, Aug. 24. Noon-3 p.m., Will Vill lawn
Be part of a (new and improved) CU Engineering tradition! Since 2018, we’ve brought the first-year class together for a class photo. This year, we’re adding a community kickoff party, complete with BBQ lunch, lawn games and more. Grab some food and meet your classmates, as well as the faculty and staff you’ll be working with throughout the year.

Thursday, Sept. 7. 3-6 p.m., Herbst Plaza (outside the Engineering Center)
Engineering Immersion, hosted by the University of Colorado Engineering Council (UCEC), is your opportunity to discover communities of peers with shared interests. Each attending organization will host a booth, with existing members on hand to talk about what they do.

Save the dates for Donuts with the Dean

Another CU Engineering tradition to start the school year! On your way to class, grab a donut and say hi to Dean Keith Molenaar, the college’s leader.

Engineering Your Semester for Success

Join us for our first academic success workshop of the semester! Hosted by a professional staff member and current engineering students, this workshop will focus on strategies, techniques and processes for how to get and stay organized for your semester courses to reach your goals.
