Certificate Opportunities

Both the Water Engineering & Management and the Engineering for Developing Communities programs offer graduate certificate options.

Water Engineering & Management (WE&M)

There are no application deadlines to apply to the WE&M certificate program. An undergraduate degree in any academic field from an accredited institution is required.

Once completed, submit the following items to trinh.hansen@colorado.edu.

a. WE&M Certificate Application form

b. One page statement of purpose describing how participating in the Water Engineering Management certificate program will further your career or academic employment, your understanding of the water profession, and define your area of interest (drinking water, wastewater or reuse)

Once your application materials are reviewed you will receive an admission response. 

1. Complete the non-degree graduate registration application and enroll through the Continuing Education ACCESS program. Once your application is processed and approved, you will receive a student ID number that you will need to complete step 2 below.

2. Then submit the following items to trinh.hansen@colorado.edu.

a. Certificate Application form

b. One page statement of purpose describing how participating in the Water Engineering Management certificate program will further your career or academic employment, your understanding of the water profession, and define your area of interest (drinking water, wastewater or reuse).

Once your application materials are reviewed you will receive an admission response. 

 

Engineering for Developing Communities (EDC) Program

Although there is not a deadline to apply to the EDC graduate certificate, the coursework follows a fall/spring sequence. Therefore, students must begin taking the certificate courses during fall semester.  To be eligible for the EDC certificate, students must be currently enrolled in a graduate-level engineering curriculum within the College of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Colorado Boulder.

Once completed, submit the following items to Robyn Sandekian at sandekian@colorado.edu.

a. EDC Certificate Application form

b. One page statement of purpose describing how participating in the Water Engineering Management certificate program will further your career or academic employment, your understanding of the water profession, and define your area of interest (drinking water, wastewater or reuse)

Once your application materials are reviewed you will receive an admission response.
