The framed outstanding alumni award.

The Ann and H.J. Smead Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences, through the AeroBuffs Alumni Club, annually bestows awards to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of outstanding alumni.

Honorees are inducted into the University of Colorado Boulder AeroBuffs Club Alumni Academy.

Established in 2022, the awards highlight superior professional achievement and service to the engineering profession in the following categories:

• Outstanding Alumni for Excellence in Commercial Enterprise
• Outstanding Alumni for Excellence in Technical Achievement
• Outstanding Alumni for Excellence in Public Service

Up to three awards will be given each year in each category. One alumnus may be under the age of 40 and two alumni may be over the age of 40.
