There are a variety of options for College of Music students to immerse themselves in the music and culture of a different part of the world! Music majors at have the option to study abroad for a semester or summer term. The College of Music has worked closely with the Education Abroad Office to identify programs that offer music courses, ensembles and/or applied lessons for music majors.
This program, held at the end of spring semester, is the only study abroad program hosted by the College of Music. Around a dozen students spend six weeks in Siena, Italy, learning about music and art and performing in the region that saw the birth of the Renaissance. This program is in partnership with the Accademia Musicale Chigiana. For more information, email Program Director Charles Wetherbee.
We have developed an Education Abroad guide with information about other partnership programs in places like England, Austria, South Africa and more. View the Music Education Abroad Guide.
