Industry Emissions Impact on Community Air Quality
Project Lead:

Bud Pope, Chief Executive Officer
Executive Summary:
Industry recognizes the need to measure and monitor emissions from their facilities to minimize the impact to their neighboring community and reduce Global Green House Gases. In many cases the communities and industry lacks the knowledge and modern day tools to measure and reduce emissions and improve air quality. BlueSky Resources provides the tools to work jointly with industry partners and their clients to create facility-level insights and solutions for emissions and air quality challenges. Together with Masters of the Environment students, an emissions evaluation will be created to assist industry partner(s) in crafting a strategy to reduce their emissions and communicate their plan.
BlueSky Resources maintains a platform that creates a dashboard for industry use to analyze past emissions incidents, summarize current trends and predict future events. The project will allow the opportunity to utilize various skills such as machine learning, computer software development, atmospheric science, emissions, air quality, community engagement, and public health and policy. BlueSky Resources is excited to provide a well-rounded experience for the students as they work in the development, analysis and execution elements of advanced technology from the vendor and customer sides and create a dialogue and experience where the teaching and learning can be mutually beneficial for the students, community and industrial partners.
