Team 41: Flotech
Abstract
FloTech is a heat-recovery vaporization system that utilizes industrial facility waste heat to vaporize liquid gases. Our counterflow U-tube heat exchanger transfers heat from process fluids such as glycol to liquid CO₂, converting it from liquid to gas, eliminating electricity needs. By leveraging waste heat that would otherwise be discarded, we significantly reduce energy consumption and operating costs for facilities that rely on large-scale CO₂ storage systems.
