Team 18: Hysteroscopic Surgery Fluid Management System
Abstract

Uterine fibroids and polyps affect 80% of women. One of the most common treatments is hysteroscopic removal, requiring uterine distension using peristaltic pumps. This introduces pulsatile flow, disrupting visualization and resection. Partnering with Hologic, we developed a dual-syringe pump maintaining constant flow and pressure via custom software and feedback, resulting in reduced pulsatility.
