Team 11: Drones for Space Vehicle Dynamics Simulation
Abstract
With the exorbitant cost of launching a satellite into orbit, validating RPO (rendezvous and proximity operation) algorithms is challenging but critical to mission success. Team 11 demonstrates the use of drones as an affordable way to simulate the dynamics of firing satellite thruster configurations. This verifies RPO algorithms and improves their reliability for satellite applications.
