Team 07: Multi-Use Laparoscopic Stapler
Abstract
This project developed a novel transportation mechanism that uses a conveyor system to load multiple staple cartridges, overcoming the limitation of current laparoscopic staplers that can only fire once before reloading. By enabling the stapler to utilize three times the number of firings without removal, this design supports surgeons working more efficiently in the operating room.
