Team 07: Medtronic Navigation - Snapshot Registration
Abstract
To aid in digitally assisted surgeries, a patient must be located in 3D space, using CT scan data as a virtual 3D guide to surgery. We have developed a novel algorithm that takes a single set of images, using the relative location between two cameras to define a patient’s location in a 3D reference frame, allowing for increased speed, accuracy, and safety in complex procedures.
