Team 02: SkyMount: Design for Autonomous Mounting of a Sensor Package on Vertical and Angled Surfaces
Abstract
Sensor packages used for the monitoring of power transmission lines currently require 30 minutes and 3 technicians per installation. SkyMount is an autonomous drone mounting system developed for Incubix Inc. that streamlines the pickup, delivery, and installation of each sensor package. Our advanced detection, control, and mounting systems cut manpower and reduce install time to about 3 minutes.
