Polymer-derived ceramics, materials science, flash sintering
Polymer-based methods, and additive manufacturing, are used to create novel ceramic nanostructures. We build models that blend concepts of thermodynamics, kinetics, mechanics and electrochemistry. Electric fields are employed to sinter ceramics by “flash sintering.” These scientific pursuits are leading to innovative technologies.
