A little about my career path: Mr. Stockman spearheads the new investment products and strategic planning initiatives in WMD’s Office of the CIO and member of the Senior Living Investment Team.  Mr. Stockman brings 30 years of experience in leadership roles at some of the world’s premier financial institutions and held senior mortgage trading, global fixed income, risk management and capital markets advisory positions.  Mr. Stockman’s product expertise includes structured mortgage and asset-backed debt and equity, global fixed income, equities, derivative products, energy complex and is skilled in the entrepreneurial environment.    

Mr. Stockman has worked since 1985 at premier investment banks and financial services boutiques.  He spent his first ten years trading and building businesses in the mortgage and asset-backed markets, primarily at Salomon Brothers and Goldman, Sachs & Co. He then spent the next twelve years, from 1995 to 2007, as a risk management and fixed income professional at UBS Investment Bank.  At UBS he spent many years as Chief Risk Officer of the Americas, Risk Control Global Head for Fixed Income, Deputy Global Head of Investment Bank Risk Control, chaired the regional risk, governance, operating and new products committees. In 2008, Mr. Stockman helped build a quantitative real estate solutions business in a joint venture with State Street Global Markets and financial services boutique, CQ Solutions.  In February of 2011, Mr. Stockman the Chief Risk Officer of MF Global for nine months and in November 2011 became President of MGStockman Advisors, LLC that brought clients the highest caliber capital markets, risk management, investment and strategic advisory services.  Engagements included service as the interim Chief Risk Officer for a boutique investment bank, strategy leader for a mortgage servicing rights purchase program, advisor on investment and risk management matters for a successful hedge fund and formed a collaboration with a world-class communications firm.

Mr. Stockman completed a six-year term on the MBA Advisory Board at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, where he has been a frequent guest lecturer and Visiting Scholar.  As a Visiting Scholar, Mr. Stockman assisted in developing and lecturing in a course entitled “Economics of the Credit Crisis”, co-authored and published in the Dartmouth/Tuck Alumni Magazine "100 Year Flood", a credit crisis article.  Mr. Stockman completed a three-year term as Co-Chair of the University of Colorado Mechanical Engineering Advisory Board where he is still an active member and was previously President of the Board at the Reece School, located in Manhattan, a non-profit special education school for intellectually capable but socially fragile children. 

Mr. Stockman completed an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in 1985, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado in 1981 and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Union College in 1979.  Mr. Stockman is married, has three children and is a sports/outdoors enthusiast.
