Five undergraduate engineering programs ranked in the top 20 for 2020

The College of Engineering and Applied Science’s undergraduate programs continued their rise this year in U.S. News and World Report’s annual rankings. 

Overall, the college came in at No. 16 among our public university peers, improved from last year’s No. 18 ranking.

“It’s wonderful to see the hard work of our faculty, staff and students reflected in this national recognition from our peers,” said Bobby Braun, dean of the college. “The day-to-day work being done by our college community benefits our entire state and nation — from the economy, to national security, to quality of life.”

The 2020 undergraduate rankings were released on U.S. News’ website today. The publication ranks undergraduate programs every fall and graduate programs every spring.

Undergraduate rankings are based on surveys sent to deans and senior faculty members at other engineering schools across the nation. Read more about their methodology
