Computer Engineering Research
Computer engineering sits at the intersection of hardware and software, focusing on the design of efficient and secure computing systems. Our faculty advance research in computer architecture, networks, security, machine learning systems and formal verification to enable computing technologies. These innovations power applications ranging from artificial intelligence & machine learning, mobile platforms, cloud and data center computing to 5G communication networks.
Our faculty and students are engaged in a range of research projects, which are supported by government agencies. Major sponsors include Sandia National Laboratories, the National Science Foundation, U.S. Department of Defense and the Office of Naval Research.
