A researcher at the National Institute of Standards & Technology Boulder Laboratory, Callie Higgins (MElEngr’14, PhD’17) was among 13 winners of the 2021 Samuel J. Heyman Service to America Medal, honoring excellence in the federal workforce.

After several management jobs at corporations including L’Oreal and many startup experiences, Ehsan Shariati Varnosfaderani (MElEngr’10) co-founded the Functionland corporation. The company provides open-source technology to help users create their own personal server.
