ChBE Donut and Coffee Hour Kicks Off This Week!
Join us for the first ChBE Donut & Coffee Hour of the semester on Thursday, Sept. 4 at 11:20 a.m. in the JSCBB Atrium/Gallery! It's a great chance to connect with peers, grab a coffee and enjoy some donuts.
Mark your calendars—these events will be held on the first Thursday of each month: 9/4, 10/2, 11/6, and 12/4.

First-Year ChBE Students: Don’t Miss Your Required Major Dinner!
ChBE Majors Dinners
Required for first-year students
Throughout the First-Year Seminar, each department will host a series of major-specific dinners to foster your belonging in an academic community. Every first-year student is expected to attend one of these dinners, so don’t miss it!
Tuesday, Sept. 2, 7-8 p.m. (SOLD OUT—TODAY!)
Monday, Sept. 15, 5:30-6:30 p.m. RSVP (still room)
Where: Village View Dining Room, adjacent to the Village Center Dining Hall in Williams Village.
Cost: Free!
Grab your dinner in the dining hall and head to the Village View Room by 5:30 p.m. or 7 p.m., depending on when your dinner starts. If you don’t have a meal plan, a meal card will be provided.
If you need a meal card or can’t attend any of the designated dinners for your major, use the RSVP link and then hit the “contact organizers” button to either request a meal card or explain your situation.

This is your opportunity to expand your professional network, to get personal career advice and to learn from someone who has been in your shoes. In addition to chemical and biological engineer alumni mentors, we also have doctors and medical student mentors for those interested in a health-related path.

Earn a Stipend and Gain Real-World Experience: Apply to Water Fellows or Uplift
Application Deadline: Sept. 8, 2025
The CU Boulder Water Fellows Program prepares undergraduate students to become the next generation of water leaders by connecting them with career opportunities in the water field. The program includes funding to attend water-related conferences and provides a $1,000 stipend.
The Uplift program is an undergraduate research opportunity that pairs students with a faculty member and provide a $3,000 stipend to support research over a 24-week period.
