CU Boulder Piano + Keyboard Day
Saturday, Sept. 26, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Are you a high school pianist considering your next steps? Join the faculty, staff, and students of the Roser Piano & Keyboard Program for an inspiring day on campus. Sessions will include performances, master classes, a music careers presentation, campus tours and more. Each student may bring one guest; lunch will be provided.
Winds, Brass + Percussion All-State Workshop
Sunday, Nov. 1, 11 a.m.-1:15 p.m.
The CU Boulder winds, brass and percussion faculty are pleased to present a workshop on the 2026 Colorado All-State audition repertoire. Students: Bring your instrument and learn tips from the pros to play your best audition yet! A performance, Q&A and optional campus tour are included. Snacks will be provided.
Band directors: You are cordially invited to join this event and stay after for a reception with College of Music faculty members Shanti Simon and Gary Lewis. Check back in September 2026 for more info and to RSVP.
Music Day
Monday, Nov. 9, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Music Day, our annual open house, invites students in grades 9-12 to live a day in the life of a music major. Observe classes, see a performance, meet faculty and more! Music Day is a free event open to any interested high school student. Each student may bring one guest. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Tour the Imig Music Building
Tours of our state-of-the-art Imig Music Building are available each weekday during the school year and on select weekdays in the summer. Tours are led by current students and include a Q&A with admissions staff.
Note: Imig Music Building tours can be paired with a campuswide information session + walking tour!

Individualized visits, including class observations, may be arranged for admitted or prospective students subject to availability. Please contact undergraduate.music@colorado.edu to explore options.
Connect with faculty
College of Music faculty are pleased to hear from prospective students in their instrument/academic area. Trial lessons and meetings may be offered at the discretion of each faculty member. Find contact information here.

The College of Music hosts hundreds of free events every year featuring student, faculty and guest performers, as well as music scholars. Explore upcoming events!
Complimentary tickets to ticketed College of Music performances may be available to prospective students and their guests, subject to availability. To request tickets, email undergraduate.music@colorado.edu with the date of your visit. Please allow at least one week’s notice.
Virtual options
Get to know the College of Music from the comfort of home via our YouTube channel or livestreamed performances. Additionally, our Office of Admissions is available for Zoom appointments. Please reach out to undergraduate.music@colorado.edu with any questions about admissions, enrollment, financial aid or student life.
Admitted student events
The College of Music participates in Boulder Bound student events, designed to provide a fun and memorable introduction for admitted students.
Registration is required for these events and drop-ins are not accepted. Please visit the Boulder Bound website and register soon as events may become full.
