Prospective undergraduate students interested in majoring in music should consider visiting the College of Music. It is recommended that students attend CU Music Day, or consider scheduling an individual visit.

CU Music Day: Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020

The College of Music invites you to join us during CU Music Day. Events will include Q&A sessions, a sample lecture, open classes and rehearsals, campus and music building tours, and an open studio hour where students can meet and speak with faculty members. CU Music Day is free and open to all high school students, but you need to register to attend. Registration will open by Oct. 15 and an updated agenda for 2020 will be posted by November 1. We expect a very similar structure to the day, however Music Day 2020 will be held virtually. This will allow you to join in Zoom sessions and see classes or speak with faculty and students in real time without the need for travel!

2020 registration information coming soon

Individual visits

As part of an individual visit, with advanced notice, students can choose to review the music application and admissions process, connect with a current student, and/or meet with a faculty member. Start by setting up a visit through CU Undergraduate Admissions. After you’ve set up your campus tour and admissions presentation, you may set up music-specific meetings here. In response to COVID-19, the College of Music is not taking in-person visitors. However, we are more than happy to set up virtual meetings, tours, and lessons. We look forward to connecting with you! If you have questions, please call 720-591-3755.
