Vanessa Mazal
Policy Advisor for Federal Affairs, Colorado Department of Natural Resources

Vanessa brings 20 years of non-profit management and philanthropic experience in the environmental and global development arenas to MENV. She currently serves as Deputy Director at eTown. She has also served as Colorado program manager for National Parks Conservation Association and provided independent strategic consulting to philanthropic organizations. Previously, she also spent eight years at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where she managed a portfolio of projects aimed at improving information and public engagement on international development and health issues. Vanessa holds an MA from the University of Washington in Environmental Anthropology.
