Executive Summary:
The flooding in Boulder County in 2013 provided a unique habitat restoration opportunity at Pella Ponds in Longmont. Specifically, Webster pond was transformed to a shallow wetland habitat targeted for native fish reintroduction. Boulder County Parks and Open Space, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, Ocean First Institute, The Innovation Center of St. Vrain Valley School District, and Lyons Middle/Senior High School are continuing to partner to expand the scope of a native fish rearing, restocking, monitoring and habitat restoration project.
