Nick Lenssen has more than 35 years of experience working on strategic, technology, market and regulatory issues focused on disruptive energy technologies, particularly distributed energy, renewable energy, and energy services. Nick has launched and directed research advisory services and market research studies on distributed energy, demand response, renewable energy, and alternative fueled transportation, and he has contributed to dozens of consulting engagements focused on markets for novel technologies, including energy storage, combined heat & power, fuel cells, transportation electrification, wind energy, and solar photovoltaics. His extensive research on energy topics has been presented to energy company executives, government officials, and the financial community. In addition, he has written several notable papers on evolving energy markets and is coauthor of Power Surge: Guide to the Coming Energy Revolution (W.W. Norton: 1994), which envisions a future energy economy that operates primarily on modular distributed and renewable energy technologies.
