Team 17: Children's Hospital Colorado(Cochlear Implant)
Abstract
Hearing loss affects 1-2 out of 1000 newborns and over half of the population by the age of 80. When amplification is insufficient, cochlear implants (CIs) can effectively restore sound awareness. Alongside Children’s Hospital Colorado, we designed technology to help streamline the CI procedure, which will reduce surgical duration, intraoperative risks, and potential for adverse surgical outcomes.
