Art installation, designed by students, that will remain in the entryway.
The mechanical engineering wing is getting an upgrade. Come June 2022, a new entryway from the Engineering Center lobby will welcome students, staff, faculty, alumni and visitors alike. The remodel includes a new front desk area, community center and dedicated career space. The renovations will give mechanical engineering community members another place to gather and collaborate and provide students improved access to resources to achieve their academic and career goals. We invite you to learn more about the remodel below.
Follow updates on the project below.
May 27:
Construction crews have started putting up the walls, installing the ceiling grid and painting the remodeled areas. To accomplish these tasks, the temporary construction walls will be coming down. This means starting Tuesday, May 31, the fire doors leading from Gravity Cafe into the Mechanical Engineering Wing will be closed for the duration of the project.
To access the ME Front Office, people can come in through the exterior entrance across from the Mathematics Building or from the stairwell on the second floor of the Mechanical Engineering Wing.
Feb. 14:
Construction is officially underway. The hallway leading to ECME offices will remain open, giving students ongoing access to their advisors. The hallway to the north wing is closed for construction.
