This year’s campus-wide symposium aims to center the experiences of persons with disabilities on campus. It will focus on a range of topics, including navigating higher education systems while diagnosed with a disability; how disability and ableism are defined; barriers for disabled veterans in academic settings; medical advocacy; and more. In-person and virtual events are available.

CU Engineering alumnus Ashok Srivastava (PhDElEngr’96), senior vice president at Intuit, will delve into how Intuit is applying deep domain expertise and human talent across multiple disciplines to responsibly build products for 100 million consumer and small and midsize business customers around the world. 

Wednesday, Oct. 23. 6:30-7:30 p.m., Will Vill North lobby
Believe it or not, it’s time to start thinking about where you’ll live next year! This presentation will include info on how to find an apartment, connect with roommates and read a lease. The presenters will also share additional resources available to students on and off campus that can assist with housing needs.

Learn about engineering and applied science research programs including Discovery Learning Apprenticeships (DLA), CU Summer Program for Undergraduate Research (CU SPUR) and the Fundamentals of Undergraduate Research (FUTURE). ProReady staff will share how to get started in your search for a research experience!

Note on Advising Holds

You may have an “advising hold” for an individual appointment, or group advising session, on your student account. These holds will prevent you from enrolling in classes for next semester, so you’ll want to connect with your advisor well ahead of your enrollment appointment. Resolving all holds and to-do items are important steps to attend to each term.

And even if you don’t have an advising hold, your advisor would be happy to meet with you.  After meeting with an advisor, you will receive a quick survey—we value your feedback and hope you will take a moment to let us know how we are doing!

Teaching staff and tutors are available right in Will Vill to assist in your applied math and computer science homework and questions! The Academic Help Room in Will Vill East (room E103, right across from the front desk) hosts hours each week to assist you: 

• Applied Math: Sundays through Thursdays, 5-9 p.m.
• Computer Science: Sundays, 1-5 p.m.
  ​There will also be midterm review session hours on Tuesdays from 1-5 p.m. on Oct. 22 and Nov. 12. 

The Academic Help Room is open to any student enrolled in CSCI and APPM courses! 

• Peer Advising Drop-in Hours: Mondays from 1-3 p.m., Will Vill North Room 145 (Engineering Connections office suite)
• Peer Academic Coaching: By appointment or during drop-in hours in the BOLD Center, Aerospace Building or Engineering Center Hub
