Undergraduate Research Assistant for R+PM Group

The Responsive and Programmable Materials Group (R+PM Group) has an opening for an undergraduate research assistant to support research of stimuli-responsive materials. This position is expected to work 10-25 hours per week. The timeframe of this position is Septembeto December 2023.

Tasks for undergraduate research assistants in this lab include:

  • Assisting senior research associate with preparation of responsive materials
  • Assisting senior research associate with characterization of responsive materials
  • Enabling the functional use of responsive materials
  • Summarizing and updating laboratory personnel and the PI on research results

The pay range is $16-$17 per hour.

Qualifications include:

  • Undergraduate student with a major in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics or chemistry.
  • Prior research experience in a laboratory setting

Student hourly positions are not permanent employees and are hired on a semester-by-semester or yearly basis. This position is eligible for employee sick leave, earned monthly on a prorated basis.
