Welcome back to campus! The faculty and staff of the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering are excited to have you back and look forward to a great fall semester.

This newsletter comes out most weeks during the fall and spring semester to share information related to professional development, events on campus, industry connections and job opportunities. BSI Scholars AY2022-23 Application

BSI Scholars Program is a funding and professional development program for current CU Boulder undergraduates. Eligible students conducting STEM research are paid to work in a laboratory on the CU Boulder or CU Denver Anschutz Medical Campus. Students also attend seminars to enhance the research experience and summarize their findings through a presentation at the end of the term. The student application deadline is September 19.

BSI Scholar Ambassadors

This team of current undergraduate researchers meets with prospective students one-on-one to offer advice and support on the benefits of getting involved with research and how to get started, as well as share information on the various research opportunities CU has to offer. Learn more about the Ambassadors here, including how to schedule an appointment.

Founded in 2018 by graduate students from Harvard and MIT, Nucleate is a free and collaborative student-led organization that facilitates the formation of pioneering life sciences companies. The newly formed Nucleate Boulder chapter, which covers all Colorado universities, is hosting a launch event on September 8 (remote and in-person at CU Anschutz) for students and faculty to learn more about Nucleate’s venture creation and life sciences education programs.

The University of Colorado Engineering Council is excited to host Engineering Immersion! The goal of Immersion is to get students more involved with engineering organizations at CU and provide new/incoming students with an easy opportunity to discover communities of peers with shared interests. Each attending organization will host a booth with existing members to talk about what they do. Join to fair to learn about new organizations and get involved!
