Alumni and friends of the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering generously made contributions to the department excellence fund in honor of Giving Tuesday. Nineteen donors provided $3,018 during the giving period, which ran throughout the latter half of November.

“We are grateful for the continued support of our community, especially in our recent fundraising campaigns for Giving Tuesday and our scholarship drive in honor of Janet deGrazia earlier this year,” said Denver Business Challenge Endowed Professor Will Medlin, department chair. “Alumni and friends of our department continually make investments in the future education and research success of our students and faculty. The money raised will go toward supporting our initiatives to recruit and retain promising students and top faculty, and to making the department a more equitable and collaboratively successful place for our engineers.”

Over 280 alumni and supporters donated more than $125,000 across the College of Engineering and Applied Science during this campaign, far exceeding the initial goal of $30,000. John Mollenkopf provided a matching $25,000 donation to encourage donors.
