Brady WorrellPostdoctoral Research Associate Brady Worrell has received a prestigious Arnold O. Beckman Postdoctoral Fellows Award. This award supports postdoctoral scholars who have the highest potential for success in an independent academic career and are poised to become the next generation of leaders and innovators in science, engineering and technology.

Each university is allowed to nominate only a single individual from the entire campus for this distinguished award.

Brady won for his research proposal, “The Sequence Controlled Polymerization of Nucleic Acids.” He is currently a researcher in the Bowman lab.

As part of his fellowship, Worrell will be invited to attend the 2015 Beckman Symposium August 6-8, 2015. He will also be financially supported for two years, receiving between $57,000 - $67,000 per year.
