We hope you enjoyed a nice summer and are off to a great start this semester. We are currently looking for speakers to give virtual talks Mondays 5pm - 6pm this semester, if that's you please apply HERE. Applications for Fall 2021 are due Monday September 6th at 5pm. 

For those of you who are new to STEMinar, we are a graduate student-organized seminar series promoting interdisciplinary science communication on campus! We host informal talks (on zoom, this year) from graduate student or post-doc speakers from different STEM fields. Talks are meant for general STEM audiences, and we encourage anyone interested to attend - undergraduates, graduate students, faculty, and community members!

• Endurance PhD Intensive: September 1, 2, 3 from 9 – 11 a.m. via Zoom
  • In this retreat, we will do a deep dive into your tendencies, habits, values and goals.  You can use this course as a stand-alone, or as a crash course to prepare and introduce you to the Endurance PhD Weekly Seminar Series (see below). You will get valuable insight on accountability styles, motivation techniques and habits. You will learn general productivity skills, and the Endurance PhD Intensive is the perfect way to kick off the semester. Deadline to register is August 30.
• Endurance PhD Weekly Seminar Series: Beginning the week of September 13 via Zoom
  • This seminar series led by Leslie Blood, PhD, will consist of weekly one-hour sessions to support goal setting, planning and provide a clear understanding of how values should drive goals and habit structures. Students will find that these Endurance PhD weekly seminars provide a solid foundation for focus & time management, which should reduce stress and increase productivity. Register for whichever session is the right fit for you and your schedule:
    • First Year: Build Your Base on Wednesdays at 9-10 a.m.
    • Second Year: Fuel on Tuesdays at 9-10 a.m.
    • Third Year: Climb on Mondays at 10-11 a.m.
    • Fourth Year and Beyond: Belt Buckle on Mondays at 9-10 a.m.

BioServe Space Technologies - Undergraduate Research Assistant - BioServe is looking for enthusiastic and self-motivated students willing to accept a modest level of responsibility and assist with BioServe payload ground preparations, general lab work, and payload operations once in orbit. The student will also be responsible for various miscellaneous research, laboratory and space flight hardware tasks. See attached PDF for more information.

Office of Assessment and Planning - Data Analytics Student Assistant and Assessment Assistant: To provide support in all areas of data collection, analysis, and reporting. See attached PDFs for application information.

Engineering+ - Course Assistants - We are looking for multiple CAs for GEEN 1400: Engineering Projects. If you have already taken a projects course (GEEN 1400, GEEN 2400, GEEN 3400, ASEN 1400, or ECEN 1400) and would be interested in being a CA, you can get more information and apply here. We are also seeking an e+ general office assistant and course assistants for GEEN 1010: Eng. Explorations thru Physics, GEEN 3400: Invention and Innovation, and GEEN 3830: Engineering Analysis and Problem Solving.

National Air and Space Museum - Virtual Explainers: We are looking for college students from ALL Majors for our Virtual Explainers Program. Virtual Explainers can work from anywhere, have a flexible work schedule, and get paid!

The Explainers Program is seeking college students to help our virtual visitors become life-long learners and better understand STEM concepts through interactive digital programs. Applicants should have an interest in STEM or science communication, be enthusiastic about working with children, and have strong tech skills & digital troubleshooting ability. Virtual Explainers will work remotely throughout the school year and summer.
