As a CU Boulder employee, you have access to many perks and programs. The following list provides links to perks, employee programs and discounts.

While your Buff OneCard has several official uses on campus, it also has perks too. Faculty and staff have several options for dining in the housing and dining establishments, including the Center for Community dining room. Meals can be purchased at a deeply discounted rate when campus cash is added to your Buff OneCard.  

Borrowing University Libraries materials is simple. Your Buff OneCard is your library card.  CU Boulder faculty and staff  can borrow most items up to 6 months.

Lynda.com provides a vast online library of instructional videos covering the latest software, creative and business skills. Online learning through lynda.com is available for all CU-Boulder faculty, staff and students.

Human Resources offers a comprehensive learning catalog to CU Boulder employees through Organization and Employee Development and the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program.

Faculty or staff employed on the Boulder campus, Boulder campus retirees, and employees of University System offices in Boulder are eligible for membership to the CU Boulder Recreation Center.

University of Colorado Health Plan participants can take advantage of Be Colorado programs. Be Colorado also offers all University of Colorado (CU), University of Colorado Health (UCH), and University Physician’s Inc. (UPI) employees great discounts at a variety of gyms and fitness centers along the front range.

The Faculty and Staff Assistance Program is dedicated to serving the emotional and psychological needs of the campus community. All FSAP staff are trained as generalist counselors and are equipped to deal with a wide range of personal and work related issues.

Employee Services, the CU system office that serves all four campuses, provides information on financial wellness workshops, resources, and consultations. 

B-cycle bike sharing provides an opportunity for convenient, cost-effective, and eco-friendly transportation around Boulder.  There are 280 bikes at 40 stations around Boulder and 10 stations serving the CU Boulder campus. CU Boulder employees can purchase an unlimited pass at a discounted rate. 

The Eco Pass provides eligible CU faculty, staff, and eligible retirees bus and light rail service (including Local, Regional and Express service). While most services are free, some are offered at low costs.

PTS and eGO CarShare, a local non-profit, have collaborated to provide a campus carsharing service available to students, faculty and staff. 

The Guaranteed Ride Home Program provides CU Boulder Eco Pass smart card holders with a FREE taxi ride home in the event of an emergency or work schedule change when they take the bus, car pool or us alternative transportation to get to work.

CU-Boulder has launched CU Commute, a social platform that networks users by alternative methods of transportation. CU Commute offers incentives, prizes, and a trip tracker for folks who use alternative methods of transportation. 

The Bike Program is your one-stop shop for all things related to biking at CU. Operated by Parking & Transportation Services and the Environmental Center, the CU Bike Stations offer mechanic assistance, Buff Bike 2-day free rentals (free to faculty, staff and students!), and the bike registration program.

CU NightRide is a student-operated program dedicated to meeting the safety needs of CU students, faculty and staff by providing night-time transportation to support a safe academic and socially responsible environment both on campus and in the community. CU NightRide is free for CU students, faculty and staff.

Desktop Support for Personal Devices

Provides campus affiliates computing support for their personal or university owned equipment by trained technicians at no cost to the client.

Service is set by appointment and conducted at the customer's on-campus location of choice.

Antivirus software for personal or university computers at no cost to CU Boulder faculty, staff and students.

Educational pricing on new computers and software through the CU Bookstore. 

As a state employer, CU Boulder employees are eligible to participate the State of Colorado’s employee discount program.

Use your EcoPass and save with discounts at restaurants, stores and more! Just flash your EcoPass at these participating local businesses.

Eligible CU Boulder employees may receive discounts on CU Buffs season tickets and some single game tickets when offered.

CU Presents offers all CU Boulder faculty and staff with valid Buff One cards a 25% discount on all Artist Series,Eklund Opera, and some special events! This discount becomes available when single tickets go on sale, usually in August for most events. This discount is not available at the Box Office night-of-show. 

Bright Horizons Care Advantage (SitterCity & Years Ahead) Membership

To support our employees, the campus has partnered with Bright Horizons to give eligible employees access to the Care Advantage program.  The program includes:

  • Sittercity membership that provides employees with access to a nationwide network of caregivers with profiles that include background checks, references, reviews, pictures and more.
  • Years Ahead membership that connects employees to a senior care solution that will help you understand and find the right level of care for their aging loved ones.
  • Preferred enrollment status at community-accepting Bright Horizons child care centers.
  • Tuition discounts at participating partner centers nationwide. In addition, you will receive a registration fee credit in your enrollment in a participating center.

Eligibility

All University of Colorado Boulder and System Administration employees are eligible for this Bright Horizons Care Advantage membership. To activate your membership, navigate to the Bright Horizons Care Advantage portal for CU employees. You will need to provide your university email address and employee or student ID number.
