The College of Music welcomes applications from students wishing to transfer to CU Boulder from a college or university outside of the University of Colorado Boulder. Transfer applicants must pass an audition and have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
Application instructions
To transfer to CU Boulder as a music major, you must complete two separate application processes: The transfer application through CU Boulder Undergraduate Admissions and the regular College of Music admissions process. It’s important to remain in contact with both offices.
Transfer credit policy
Once you’re accepted to CU Boulder and the College of Music, the Office of Admissions will evaluate your transfer credit. Then, the College of Music office will determine how that credit applies toward your degree. Please visit the University of Colorado Boulder’s Transfer Credit + Admission Criteria page for more info.
Note: We cannot evaluate your transfer credit until you have been admitted to the program.
