Sharon E. Anderson serves as Director of Undergraduate Research and is responsible for CU Engineering's comprehensive offering of undergraduate research programs, including
- Fundamentals of Undergraduate Research (FUTURE);
- Discover Learning Apprenticeship (DLA);
- CU Summer Program for Undergraduate Research (CU SPUR)
Sharon also oversees the Internship-for-Credit program, which allows CU Engineering students to receive either free/technical elective credit for participating in a paid industry internship.
Sharon earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Education from the University of Colorado Boulder, with many family members who are also Forever Buffs. She has worked at CU Engineering for nearly two decades in research and internship programs, student advisory boards, and graduate student advising. Sharon is a strong advocate for career readiness and works to instill a sense of pride and professionalism in the students who participate in undergraduate research and internship-for-credit programs.
