BOLD Graduation Survey 2024

Last issue we introduced you to Mary Steiner, our college’s Associate Dean for Students. Mary will be hosting Open Hours in the BOLD Center every Friday through the end of April from noon - 1:30 p.m. in the BOLD Huddle Room. Mary is available to answer questions or chat with you about any aspects of your student experience – stop by to say hello and receive an M&Ms treat!

« Mary's favorite undergradate memory: Working on my senior design project, which was a space station design and I was on the human factors team. We’re talking decades in the past (!), and I enjoyed working with colleagues I’d gotten to know over the years in the engineering major. This project gave me something “real” instead of equations on the chalkboard if you will!

Undergraduate CU Boulder engineering and applied science students in the CU SPUR program earn hourly wages (currently $16/hr) while engaging in research with college faculty and graduate students.

Topics range everything from climate change, space, honeybees, robotics, artificial integellince, synthetic biology, clean drinking water and more across all engineering majors!

» BOLD Center: Monday-Thursday 10 a.m. - 6p.m  & Friday 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
» Smead Aerospace: Monday-Thursday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
» Williams Village*: Tuesday & Thursday 6 a.m. - 8 p.m. *Reserved for 1st and 2nd year BOLD/Goldshirt Scholars only.

CEAS Peer Academic Coaches are current Engineering students who can help you explore learning strategies, effective scheduling, procrastination, and priority management.

Academic coach availability: Thomas on Mondays from 11 a.m. -1 p.m. and Sandra on Thursdays from 1 - 3 p.m.
Location: Smead Aerospace Building, R210 (BOLD Aerospace room)

Meet the Peer Academic Coaches!

The Spectrum Scholars Program is a two-year educational program for eligible rising college juniors with financial need who identify as Asian/Pacific Islander, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino or Native American. The annual scholarship program awards college students $20,000 total, half during their junior year and half during their senior year. 

Deadline extended to Monday, April 1st. 

Must be majoring in the following areas: 
« Computer Science
« Data Science
« Electrical Engineering
« Network or Systems Engineering 

Learn about the Spectrum Scholars Program

Hazen and Sawyer is proud to offer $5,000 scholarships to two students who are pursuing higher education in engineering or environmental science. Applications are due March 31st. 

Scholarship Info

A doctoral student at the University of Missouri-Kansas City is conducting a dissertation research study on the factors that influence Jewish undergraduate student sense of belonging. 

Criteria for this study includes
« You identify as Jewish.
« You identify as an undergraduate student currently enrolled full-time or part-time at a U.S. 4-year public or private college/university.
« You are 18-25 years old.

This entire research study (screening questions and actual survey) will take about 20 minutes to complete and completely voluntary.
