The College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) will conduct its fourth college-wide search to hire a diverse group of faculty members who support the college's vision to “engineer sustainable solutions to improve the quality of life in our state, nation and world.” The CEAS college-wide search supports the college's commitment to and goal of improving diversity among the faculty to meet critical research and teaching needs.

The college committee will conduct the first two levels of review including an assessment of whether each applicant meets the basic requirements stated in the advertisement and an initial evaluation of all application materials through the lens of whether the applicant will help us attain our goal of creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive academic culture within our college. This year, Associate Professor Hope Michelsen of the Paul M. Rady Department of Mechanical Engineering will chair the college-wide search committee. We are seeking two to three graduate students who are well versed in justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion to support our process of identifying applicants with demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to weave these concepts throughout their teaching, research, and service.
