The College of Engineering and Applied Science offers scholarships to students which can be used to supplement University scholarships and financial aid packages.
For the 2021-2022 academic year, the College of Engineering and Applied Science will award all scholarships based on an application. This application opened on November 1, 2020.
For students applying for fall 2021
The CEAS has scholarships available to students based on an application. The college gives priority to students with high financial need, however there are opportunities available to all students, so we encourage all students to apply. The application will be available through your admissions portal starting on Nov 1, 2020.
Note: This information applies only to students who applied for the 2020-2021 academic year.
A limited number of $1,000 scholarships are available for students transferring to the College of Engineering and Applied Science and pursuing their first bachelor’s degree. Students must meet a minimum GPA of 3.600 and have satisfactorily completed 24 credit hours at their former institution immediately prior to their transfer to CU Boulder. Students who meet the criteria will automatically be considered for these one-year scholarships.
2020-2021 Merit Scholarship Renewal Update:
The College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) will be relaxing scholarship renewal criteria after the semester at the end of the academic year. Note this is for CEAS scholarships only. You should email firstname.lastname@example.org for any questions related to campus-level scholarships you may be receiving, and/or contact any external scholarship sponsor/provider directly for questions about any non-university scholarships.
The CEAS scholarship renewal criteria listed here will be in place for this renewal period only:
- The number of completed credit hours required for renewal has been reduced from 24 to 12 credit hours (i.e., if you completed 12 CU Boulder credit hours between the fall 2020 and/or spring 2021 semesters you meet this requirement.
- Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credits per semester. Students enrolled in less than 12 credits during the fall or spring semester will receive their scholarship at a prorated amount.
