Jim is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Colorado Boulder.  He holds a B.S. in Mathematics and M.S. in Statistics from Utah State University, and an M.S. in Information Science from the University of Colorado Boulder.  He has over 30 years of experience as a statistician in social and medical research, and as a technologist in computer architecture and security.  His work focuses on statistics and data science in very large medical and social science datasets.
