James Luther

James (Jay) Luther is a graduate student studying for a Ph.D. in Computer Science & Cognitive Science at the University of Colorado Boulder. His work involves using Artificial Intelligence to improve online education as well as improving computational thinking in middle school classrooms. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in German, both completed through the University of Rhode Island in 2018. After his undergraduate career, he worked as a software engineer for the Department of Defense before beginning his graduate career in the Fall of 2020. He is advised by Dr. Tamara Sumner in the Institute of Cognitive Science.
