Join us for the next ChBE Donut & Coffee Hour of the semester on Thursday, Nov. 6 at 11:20 a.m. in the JSCBB Atrium/Gallery! It's a great chance to connect with peers, grab a coffee and enjoy some donuts.

🎓 Graduate Opportunities at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
The Department of Chemical & Biological Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) is seeking motivated students for its PhD, MS, and M.Eng. programs. With 19 core faculty members—including three elected to the National Academy of Engineering—students have the opportunity to conduct research in high-impact areas such as biotechnology, advanced materials, and energy sustainability.
Doctoral students receive competitive stipends and full tuition support.
Located in New York’s Capital Region, RPI sits at the center of a thriving semiconductor and biomanufacturing hub.

NEW ! Global Seminar for ChBE Students: Amsterdam & Copenhagen, Summer 2026
Interested in earning 3000+ technical electives while studying abroad? Join ChBE faculty for Sustainable Engineering in a Material World, a Summer 2026 Global Seminar in Amsterdam, Netherlands and Copenhagen, Denmark.
This program offers two upper-division technical electives (six credit hours total) focused on sustainable energy and material systems. Alongside coursework, you’ll explore the regions by visiting an energy plant, tulip gardens, design exhibitions, floating farms, windmills and more — gaining insight into how engineering innovation is shaping a more sustainable future for materials, energy and urban design.
All accepted students receive a $500 Global Seminar Access Scholarship, with additional scholarships available for those with financial need.
