Yibin Zhang

Yibin Zhang is currently a PhD candidate at Princeton University and she earned her Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Her research applies a femtosecond laser diagnostic to supersonic flows that simulate conditions experienced by high-speed aircrafts. Her goal is a successful experimental demonstration and theoretical study of this molecular tagging velocimetry method in air flows. This method, if successfully adopted by the aerospace industry, can have ramifications on the design and fuel efficiency of future aircrafts. Her work is funded through the Air Force Office of Scientific Research’s NDSEG fellowship.
