Sherrie Hall

Sherrie Hall a PhD student in Aeronautics and Astronautics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She has been interested in human space flight most of her life. She graduated with a BS and MS in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech prior to starting her doctoral work. Her current research explores implementations for gesture control interfaces for human-robot interaction. She is particularly interested in space exploration applications for gesture control. Her work investigates gesture-to-command mappings that allow users to make multiple inputs at once, and how different user instructions and implementation of interface degrees of freedom impact performance. She will be defending her thesis on May 16th, and looks forward to joining Draper Laboratories this summer.
